Who we are:

Hurricane Mike’s a veteran-owned, small-batch sauce and seasoning creator. After working in the culinary industry in college, Mike's tinkering to make great flavor became a love language. After creating Sweet Heat as a COVID project, Gina (aka Mrs. Hurricane) encouraged the idea to offer that delicious hot sauce to the world... which led us here, and you here! Hurricane Mike’s is a proud member of the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services “Virginia’s Finest” Specialty Food and Beverage trademark program as well as Homegrown by Heroes, a national agricultural business excellence designation for US Armed Services veterans.

What we do:

Our award-winning sauces and seasonings are crafted with a specific purpose in mind: maximum flavor. The sauces range from mild to wild, but each one has a flavor all its own, and no matter how hot it gets, the FLAVOR COMES FIRST. The dry rub barbecue seasonings are designed to "wow" the palate with huge natural flavors of whatever you cook and make your barbecue the hands-down winner at every gathering. The Hurricane Mike's "Taste Bud Flood" starts with fresh fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, and other natural flavors.

We want your food to bring joy to you, your family, and your friends. Hurricane Mike's formed with the fundamental idea that 1) making great food is a great way to show your love for others, and 2) our sauces and seasonings are the MOST awesome way to add flavor to your food. Our sauce ethos is flavor FIRST, and then bring the heat. Our seasoning ethos is not to make your barbecue taste like Hurricane Mike's, it's to taste like YOUR barbecue X1000!! We hope you enjoy using them as much as we love making them.
